BTW, I've been meaning to mention Red Hot Pawn for a while.

It's a web-based chess site. It's a nice system, because you have at least a day to make each move, so you can just log in whenever you have a couple free minutes during the day. You can play 5 (I think) simultaneous games at once for free, and if you register (it's cheap) you can play as many as you want. They also have tournaments, and forums, and other fun stuff like that.
